Foundation.
April 13, the year 2000 was held the founding conference of the Yugoslav association “ Technology and Society”, which is a Non-Governmental Organization under the Yugoslav Law of non-profit organizations.
Mission.
The mission of the association “Technology and Society” is to improve the understanding of the interdependence between technology and society by improving the knowledge and understanding of the technological and societal development and its relationship.
Objectives.
Our objectives are to improve mutual relationships and mutual understandings of all professions that have direct influence and impact on technological and social development and particularly those dealing with science, technology and arts.
Activities.
Our activities are aimed at following the mission and achieving the objectives and they consist of organizing conferences and lectures; publishing journals, books and proceedings; doing consultancy and some of design; organizing some of investigation and research and of cooperating with any person, association, society, institution with a similar mission and objectives.
Cooperation.
Being aware of the critical importance of technology for overall development and of the critical importance of understanding all possible consequences and impacts of technological development on culture and society on a global level, the association “Technology and Society” is open for domestic and international cooperation. We are free of any restrictions except those that are imposed by search for truth, ethics and aesthetics.
