Our association, created in 2005 a project “The young + technology = Passport to EU”. This project was contributed to the promotion and further development of young gifted people in ICT.
The Project “The young + technologies = Passport to European Union” was intended to promote the achievements by secondary-school and university aged population in ICT in order to create the young’s awareness of the importance of their contribution to the development of our society and its integration into Europe.
This project raised the big interest of the President of Serbia, Mr. Boris Tadic, who accepted to be patron of the project. Please, find the attached letter of recommendation of Mr. President.
Specific Objectives:
- to approach Europe through developing the young’s innovation culture in ICT
- to stimulate interactions between today’s technologies, economy and society in order to enhance domestic competitiveness and competence
- to establish partnerships between the private, governmental and nongovernmental sectors in the creation of a long-term strategy for the development of youth potentials in ICT
- to support and strengthen creative way of thinking, gifts and potential of youth in order to prevent rising trend of brain drain.
Activities:
- Conference: “THE YOUNG + TECHNOLOGIES = “ PASSPORT” to EUROPEAN UNION”
- Virtual Creative Workshop: “Serbia candidate for EU”. This workshop was consist of contest between five multidisciplinary teams, which assigment was to made thematic web site “Serbia – candita for EU”. Three winning teams ware awarded with a visits to prominent institutions abroad.
