Scientific conference:
"Technology, Culture and Development


The main activity of the Association is scientific conference “Technology, Culture and Development”. Since 1994, there was 14 conferences, one year take place in Igalo (Montenegro), and the other one in Palić (Vojvodina). This conference reflect the multidisciplinary spirit of association “Technology and Society”, connected various occupation: scientists, professionals, public administrators, artists and other people interested in following issues.

  • First Conference: Technology, Culture and Development (TCD), Belgrade, 1994
  • 2nd Conference TCD: Ethical problems of science, technology and development with special focus on this problems in FR Yugoslavia, Igalo 1995
  • 3rd Conference TCD: Education for the sustainable cultural and technological development of the society and person, Palic, 1996
  • 4th Conference TCD: Cultural identity and technological aspects of development in small countries – case of FR Yugoslavia, Igalo 1997
  • 5th Conference TCD: Past experiences and presumptions for a good science, technology and development policy in FR Yugoslavia, Palic, 1998
  • 6th Conference TCD: Science, Technology and Culture and challenges of the blocked development, with special focus on FR Yugoslavia, Igalo, 1999
  • 7th Conference TCD: Temptations and lessons form the 20th Century: science, technology and culture in the sign of Janus with special focus on the Yugoslav historical space, Palic, 2000
  • 8th Conference TCD: Global and local in the technological and cultural development: Yugoslavia in the European and regional surrounding, with the special theme: Modernization of the higher education in Yugoslavia, Kotor, 2001
